Description
Shakiso is a resourceful area with very fertile land, great coffee and a flourishing mining business. Most of the coffee trees in this area are pretty young and their varieties is usually 74410 and 74412. These two varieties have shown the most resistance to Shakiso’s environment whilst still showcasing its coffee profile. Farmers in Shakiso on average have a farm land bigger than most areas at 4 hectares. Guji is the largest coffee growing region for specialty coffee in Ethiopia. The region possess young coffee trees compared to neighbouring origins such as Yirgacheffe.
Characteristics: Notes of milk chocolate, green apple, lemonade fruit, and vanilla. Black tea aftertaste. White sugar-sweetness. Silky body, citric and malic acidity. Clean and lingering aftertaste.
